Colinas del Poas is a beautiful resort about an hour from San Jose, Costa Rica. This mountain location has all sorts of services and is a great day tour from the city. It is located on the outskirts of the Poas Volcano.
I went there last week and had a great time with the family. We spent some time in the canoe in the lake, we did the canopy tour on the property and fished for trout. There are many more activities in the area but the rain got too much before we could enjoy them all.
The grounds at Colinas del Poas are immaculate. They invest a lot of time and effort making sure the place looks amazing.
They have a lake stocked with trout that you can fish and they prepare the fish for you. The preparation is great and the service is good. They grill the fish and serve with side dishes.
